LIVE UPDATE: End of the 1st Period at MacInnes Student Ice Arena

At the end of the first period the score is Michigan Tech 3 – Minnesota 1. The Golden Gophers are on their heels after the first 20 minutes as the Huskies came out with a little more aggression, scoring two goals back-to-back in the middle of the period. 

Shots in the first were 10-9 in favor of the Gophers, which is surprising as it seemed as though the Huskies controlled play for the majority of the first 20 minutes. Michigan Tech also had a 3-1 advantage for powerplays and converted on one of those power plays.
