1968: Dave Balon becomes the 1st Minnesota North Stars player to play in an NHL All-Star game in Toronto.

1973: Gilles Gilbert recorded his second career shutout as the Minnesota North Stars became just the second post-1967 expansion team to win 150 NHL games, with a 1-0 win over the Islanders at Long Island.

1981: NHL defenseman Kurt Sauer born in St. Cloud, MN. Sauer has played in the NHL since 2002-03 with Anaheim, Colorado, and Phoenix.

1984: Tom McCarthy scored a goal and added three assists as the Minnesota North Stars won 9-3 over the visiting Los Angeles Kings.

1986: Neal Broten picked up three assists as the North Stars won 4-3 over the Blues in Minnesota.

1993: Minnesota North Stars goaltender Jon Casey made 39 saves in a 4-3 win over visiting Calgary.

2002: Carolina Hurricanes traded defenseman Sandis Ozolinsh and top minor-league prospect Byron Ritchie to the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenseman & St. Paul, MN native Bret Hedican, center Kevyn Adams and minor-league prospect Tomas Malec.

2003: Pascal Dupuis scored the first two-goal game of his career, and Marian Gaborik had a goal and three assists as the Wild won 5-2 over the visiting Vancouver Canucks.

2004: Down 2-0 at the end of the second period, four Wild players combined to set a team record by scoring three goals in 1:53 and four goals in a span of 5:20 midway through the third period, for a 4-2 win against the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins.

2010: Minnesota’s Guillaume Latendresse scored his first career hat trick (on just three shots) in a 6-4 loss at Phoenix.

2011: Minnesota rookie Anton Khudobin recorded his first career shutout to lead the wild to a 4-0 win over the visiting Vancouver Canucks.

2012: St. Louis Blues extended their home-ice point streak to a franchise record 13 games (11-0-2) with a 1-0 win over the Dallas Stars. Jaroslav Halak recored his 19th career shutout and T.J. Oshie scored the only goal of the game.
