1937:  Goaltender Mike Karakas recorded his 14th career shutout in the Black Hawks’ 9-0 win against the Americans, at New York

1966:  Former NHL goalie Daniel Berthiaume born in Longueuil, Que.  Berthiaume played in the NHL 1985-86 through 1993-94 with Winnipeg, the Minnesota North Stars, Los Angeles, Boston and Ottawa.

1978:  Roland Eriksson scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 2-1 win over the Sabres at Buffalo.

1980:  Los Angeles Kings outshot the North Stars 47-18, but settled for a 4-4 tie against the North Stars at Minnesota.

1985:  Willi Plett scored twice in the Minnesota North Stars’ 4-4 tie against Detroit at the Met Center.

1989:  Brian Bellows scored a goal and added two assists as the Minnesota North Stars won 5-3 over the visiting Quebec Nordiques.

1990:  Neal Broten scored twice and took 9 shots for the Minnesota North Stars in a 6-3 win at Vancouver.

1993:  Mike Modano picked up two assists as the Minnesota North Stars won 2-1 at Toronto.

1994:  Cities Hockey Inc., (Minnesota Artic Blast Roller Hockey team) management met with Valentine Design and Marketing to discuss the development of a team name and logo.  Minneapolis downtown council offers to support the new RHI team to agreeing to sponsor a pre-game party in June.

2006:  Minnesota’s Alexander Daigle had a goal and an assist in the first period as the Wild won its franchise-best 5th game in a row, 5-1 over the visiting Nashville Predators.

2006:  Carolina’s Matt Cullen reached the 20-goal mark for the first time in his NHL career with the game-winner in a 5-1 win at Atlanta.

2007:  Columbus traded center Mark Hartigan, right wing Joe Motzko and its 4th-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft to Anaheim for center Zenon Konopka, center Curtis Glencross and its 7th-round pick in either the 2007 or 2008 Draft.

2007:  Jordan Leopold scored his first goal as a member of the Colorado Avalanche in a 5-4 shootout loss to the visiting Coyotes.

2007:  Brian Rolston took 9 shots on goal for the Wild, scoring once in a 2-1 shootout victory in Calgary.
