Author scores with book launch at Minnesota Wild game.
If there’s one thing about Hockey Moms, it’s that they have stories. So says Jody Anderson, author of the upcoming book, HOCKEY MOMS AREN’T CRAZY (November 2013, Big Pond Books). Anderson’s “fun little project” has turned into a dream come true, thanks in large part to the Minnesota Wild, who are hosting her book launch party at a game on Wednesday, November 27 when the Wild host the Phoenix Coyotes.
Discounted tickets for the game and book signing are available now. Simply visit this link and enter the offer code “wild”. Tickets are only $30 to $60 and include an autographed copy of Anderson’s book, which can be picked up in the Suite Hospitality room at a meet-and-greet before the game.
As for the book itself, it’s a tribute to Hockey Moms in the form of jokes, comical illustrations and stories collected from Hockey Moms and hockey pros. There’s even a contribution from famed “Miracle on Ice” great, Mike Eruzione!
HOCKEY MOMS AREN’T CRAZY ($7.95, softcover) became available on Nov. 1 at area bookstores and gift shops, through online retailers, by visiting AdventurePublications.net or by calling 800-678-7006.
About the Author
Jody M. Anderson grew up on a 100-acre Quarter Horse farm, where she boarded, trained, showed and bred horses. Expensive, time-consuming and with lots of driving, she now knows that this prepared her for life as a Hockey Mom! Jody has four children, five grandchildren and one husband. They are the loves of her life. One child played lacrosse in college, another was a diver in college, one played hockey at JR level and one at HS level. Jody lives in Cambridge, MN, and her family still enjoys going to professional hockey games and cheering on the local team. Best of all, Jody now has the privilege of watching her grandchildren play hockey.
