<p>1952:&nbsp; Former NHL center Lorne Henning born in Melfort, Sask.&nbsp; Henning played in the NHL 1972-73 through 1980-81. &nbsp;He later became coach with the North Stars, Islanders, Chicago and Anaheim.</p>
<p>1953:&nbsp; Former NHL player Al Hangsleben born in Warroad, MN.</p>
<p>1955:&nbsp; Former North Stars NHL center Tim Young born in Scarborough, Ont. &nbsp;Young played in the NHL 1975-76 through 1984-85.</p>

<p>1972:&nbsp; Former&nbsp;MN Wild&nbsp;defenseman Jason Marshall born in Cranbrook, B.C.</p>
<p>1974:&nbsp; Former&nbsp;MN Wild center Aaron Gavey born in Sudbury, Ont.</p>
<p>1976:&nbsp; North Stars ended their team-record 10 game losing streak with a 6-3 win against the Scouts, at Kansas City.</p>
<p>1980:&nbsp; &#8216;Miracle on Ice&#8217; game played at the 1980 Winter Olympic Games in Lake Placid, N.Y. with US defeating Russia 4-3.</p>
<p>1982:&nbsp; Bobby Smith scored a goal and added three assists to lead the North Stars to an 8-7 win over the visiting Whalers.</p>
<p>1983:&nbsp; Rookie Brian Bellows scored twice and added an assist to lead the North Stars to a 3-2 win against the Red Wings, at Detroit.</p>
<p>1989:&nbsp; Dave Christian scored twice and added an assist as the Capitals won 7-2 over the Kings, at L.A.</p>
<p>1989:&nbsp; Ken Hodge, Jr. scored his first NHL goal.&nbsp; It came for the North Stars in a 5-5 tie at Chicago.</p>
<p>1989:&nbsp; Phil Housley had a goal and two assists to lead the Sabres to a 7-5 win over the visiting Islanders.</p>
<p>1991:&nbsp; Winnipeg&#8217;s Phil Housley scored his 20th goal of the season for the fifth straight year, in a 6-4 Jets loss to the Kings.&nbsp; Housley became the second defenseman in Jets history (after Dave Ellett) to score 20 goals in one season.</p>
<p>1993:&nbsp; Phil Housley had four assists in the Jets&#8217; 6-3 win over the Ottawa Senators, in Winnipeg.</p>
<p>1994:&nbsp; Cities Hockey Inc. (Ownership group of the MN Arctic Blast &#8211; RHI team) submits to the league 15 protected players including:&nbsp; Nole Rahn, Dave Shute, Ron Saatzer, Bill Pye, Bryan Brandt and Jim Hau.</p>
<p>2007:&nbsp; Minnesota&#8217;s Wyatt Smith scored his first goal in 92 games as the Wild won 4-3 against the Avalanche at Colorado.</p>
<p>2009:&nbsp; Matt Cullen scored the first hat trick of his 11 year NHL career (786 games) to lead the Hurricanes to a 5-2 win over the visiting Colorado Avalanche.&nbsp; The three goals gave Cullen 401 points in his NHL career.</p>
<p>2011: &nbsp;Bloomington, MN native Erik Johnson scored the game winning goal in his first game against the Blues (his former team) as the Avalanche won 4-3 win at St. Louis.</p>
<p>2011: &nbsp;Minnesota Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom improved to 13-0-0 lifetime at home against Edmonton&nbsp;and Pierre-Marc Bouchard had a goal and two assists as the Wild beat the visiting Oilers 4-1.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>1945:&nbsp; Chicago goalie Mike Karakas recorded his 27th career shutout in the Black Hawks&#8217; 5-0 win over the visiting Boston Bruins.</p>
<p>1946:&nbsp; Former North Stars left winger Danny Grant born in Fredericton, N.B.</p>
<p>1948:&nbsp; Boston&#8217;s Frank Brimsek became the second goaltender in franchise history (and the 7th in the NHL) to record 200 victories when the Bruins won 3-1 over the Canadiens at Montreal.</p>

<p>1980:&nbsp; Defenseman Brad Maxwell had three assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 5-2 win against the Islanders at New York.</p>
<p>1984:&nbsp; Washington Capitals signed goaltender Bob Mason as a free agent.</p>
<p>1986:&nbsp; Calgary&#8217;s rookie Mike Vernon recorded his first career shutout and the Flames&#8217; first ever against the Canucks, a 4-0 at Vancouver.&nbsp; Rookie Joel Otto led the scoring with two goals and an assist.</p>
<p>1986:&nbsp; Phil Housley picked up three assists as the Sabres won 5-1 over the Islanders in Buffalo.</p>

<p>1987:&nbsp; New York Rangers traded Brad Maxwell to the North Stars for future considerations.</p>
<p>1990:&nbsp; George and Gordon Gund declare three options on this date: 1.&nbsp; Relocate the North Stars to the Bay Area; 2.&nbsp; Entertain offers to sell the team to keep them in MN; 3.&nbsp; Explore possibility of an expansion team in Minnesota, in conjunction with a North Stars move to the Bay Area.</p>
<p>1992:&nbsp; Brian Bellows became the North Stars&#8217; all-time leading goal scorer, when he scored twice in a 5-4 loss to the Rangers, in New York; his two goals gave him 355 with Minnesota, two more than Dino Ciccarelli.</p>
<p>2004:&nbsp; Mighty Ducks of Anaheim acquired defenseman Martin Skoula from the Colorado Avalanche for defenseman Kurt Sauer and a fourth-round draft pick in 2005.</p>
<p>2011: &nbsp;Pittsburgh Penguins acquired left wing James Neal and Virginia, Minnesota native Matt Niskanen, from the Dallas Stars in exchange for defenseman (and Grand Rapids, Minnesota native) Alex Goligoski</p>
<p>2013: &nbsp;Matt Cullen scored two goals and an assist to lead the Wild to a 3-1 victory at Edmonton.</p>
<p>2013: &nbsp;Robbinsdale, MN native Blake Wheeler scored his second goal of the game with 4:54 remaining in regulation to give the Jets a 4-3 win at Carolina.</p>

<p>1966:&nbsp; A group of owners in Minneapolis St. Paul learned that they would become one of the six new NHL teams scheduled to begin play a year and a half later.</p>
<p>1966: Former University of Minnesota Goaltender, John Blue Birthday.</p>
<p>1969:&nbsp; Bill Goldsworthy scored twice and added an assist and Jean-Paul Parise had four assists as the Minnesota North Stars tied a team goal scoring record (most goals) in a 7-4 win over the Kings at the Met Center.</p>
<p>1972:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Boston&#8217;s Phil Esposito became the first player in NHL history to score 100 points in a season three times in his career, when he picked up an assist in a 6-4 win over the North Stars at Minnesota.</p>
<p>1978:&nbsp; Mark Heaslip scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Rangers to a 4-4 tie against the Colorado Rockies, at MSG.</p>
<p>1978:&nbsp; Minnesota North Stars purchased goaltender Gary Smith from Washington.</p>
<p>1981:&nbsp; NHL player Jeff Taffe born in Hastings, MN. &nbsp;Taffe has played in the NHL since 2002-03 with Phoenix, the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh, Florida Panthers, Chicago and the Minnesota Wild.</p>
<p>1985: &nbsp;NHL defenseman Clayton Stoner born in Port McNeill, B.C. &nbsp;Stoner has played in the NHL since 2009-10 with Minnesota and Anaheim.</p>
<p>1986:&nbsp; Brian Lawton scored his first NHL hat trick and added an assist, and Dennis Maruk had a goal and four assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 6-5 win, at Chicago.</p>
<p>1988:&nbsp; Phil Housley set a new scoring record for Sabres defensemen, when he got his 25th goal of the season, in a 5-4 loss to the Flyers in Buffalo.</p>
<p>2004:&nbsp; Alex Henry scored his first NHL goal as the Wild won 6-2 against the visiting Vancouver Canucks.</p>
<p>2011: &nbsp;Colorado Avalanche acquired Bloomington, MN native Erik Johnson, Jay McClement and a 1st round pick from St. Louis, in exchange for Kevin Shattenkirk, Chris Stewart and a second-round pick&nbsp;in either 2011 or 2012.</p>
<p>2011: &nbsp;Chris Stewart became the 5th player in St. Louis history to score twice in his debut with the Blues, a 9-3 win over the visiting Anaheim Ducks.&nbsp; T.J. Oshie had two goals and an assist, including his goal and assist coming in :06 in the 1st period.</p>
<p>2012: Hockey Day America sponsored by NBC with festivities hosted by the Minnesota Wild, with Liam McHugh, Eddie Olczyk, Pierre McGuire and Mike Milbury anchored NBC Sports&#8217; live pre-game and early-game intermission coverage from the Wells Fargo Winter-Skate Rink at Landmark Plaza in downtown St. Paul, MN.</p>
<p>2012:&nbsp; Niklas Backstrom set a team record for most saves in a shutout, with 48 and Minnesota natives Chad Rau and Matt Cullen both scored in a 2-0 win over the visiting Boston Bruins.&nbsp; It was his 26th career shutout&nbsp;and the Wild&#8217;s first home shutout against Boston.</p>
<p>2012: &nbsp;Robbinsdale, MN native Blake Wheeler picked up four assists to lead the Jets to a 5-1 win over the visiting Colorado Avalanche.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>1895:&nbsp;Possible 1st game played in Minnesota at Athletic Park (Near Target Center location today in downtown Minneapolis) University of Minnesota&nbsp;defeats visiting Winnipeg Victorias by the score of 11-1.</p>
<p>1945:&nbsp; Montreal became the first NHL team ever to go 10-0-1 in the second game of back-to-back series to start a season when they had a 0-0 tie at Chicago. &nbsp;Bill Durnan had his 3rd career shutout for the Canadiens and Karakas had his 26th for the Black Hawks.</p>
<p>1966: &nbsp;Last UMD collegiate game at the Duluth Curling Club was played.</p>
<p>1971:&nbsp; Minnesota North Stars&#8217; Jude Drouin scored a goal to become the first rookie in NHL history to get points in each of his first 15 career games; the record came in a 5-3 loss at Detroit.</p>
<p>1975:&nbsp; Detroit Red Wings obtained Walt McKechnie from Boston in trade for Earl Anderson, Hank Nowak and third-round pick in the 1975 entry draft.</p>
<p>1978:&nbsp; Brad Maxwell had three assists as the Minnesota North Stars lost 5-4 to the Maple Leafs at Toronto.</p>
<p>1980:&nbsp; Tim Young scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 6-2 win against the visiting Quebec Nordiques.</p>
<p>1982:&nbsp; Minnesota North Stars began a team-record 12 game undefeated streak (0-0-1) with a 2-2 tie against the Flames, at Calgary.</p>
<p>1984:&nbsp; Reed Larson picked up three assists, to become the highest scoring U.S. born player in NHL history, and goaltender Greg Stefan recorded his second career shutout, as the Red Wings won 6-0 over the Black Hawks in Detroit.</p>
<p>1987:&nbsp; Dino Ciccarelli scored twice to give him 250 career NHL goals and added an assist as the North Stars won 7-3 over the Vancouver Canucks, in Minnesota.</p>
<p>2000:&nbsp; Shjon Podein scored his first career hat trick as Colorado won 4-2 against the Rangers, at New York.</p>
<p>2001:&nbsp; Rookie Sylvain Blouin scored his first career NHL goal as the Minnesota Wild handed the Sharks their first loss in 11 road games with a 3-1 victory.</p>
<p>2003:&nbsp; Jamie Langenbrunner played in his 500th career NHL game, and picked up an assist in a 2-2 Devils&#8217; tie at Philadelphia.</p>
<p>2007:&nbsp; St. Louis rookie David Backes scored two goals to lead the Blues to a 5-3 win over the visiting Minnesota Wild.</p>
<p>2007:&nbsp; Minnesota&#8217;s Pavol Demitra tied a team record by scoring a goal in his 5th straight game, a 5-3 loss at St. Louis.</p>
<p>2011: &nbsp;Boston Bruins acquired acquired Rich Peverley and Boris Valabik from the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for Mark Stuart and Robbinsdale, MN native Blake Wheeler.</p>
<p>​2012: &nbsp;University of Minnesota Gophers Womens Hockey team began a streak of 62 consecutive victories that eventually ended with a 3-2 loss to visiting North Dakota on November 17, 2013.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>1950: &nbsp;1st hockey game played&nbsp;at Williams Arena (Later renamed Mariucci Arena) before a crowd of 3,774.&nbsp; University of Minnesota trounces visiting Michigan State: 12-1.</p>
<p>1957:&nbsp; Former NHL right winger Archie Henderson born in Calgary, Alta.&nbsp; Henderson played in the NHL 1980-81 through 1982-83 with Washington, the Minnesota North Stars and Hartford.</p>
<p>1968:&nbsp; Wayne Connelly scored twice in the North Stars&#8217; 2-2 tie against the Blues in Minnesota. Bill McCreary had a goal and an assist for St. Louis.</p>
<p>1968:&nbsp; Phoenix (WHL) traded Walt McKechnie to the Minnesota North Stars in exchange for future considerations (Leo Thiffault and Bob Charlebois).</p>
<p>1971:&nbsp; Minnesota&#8217;s Jude Drouin had 3 assists to extend his team-record consecutive game assist streak to 14 games, in the North Stars&#8217; 3-2 win over the visiting California Golden Seals. Drouin scored 21 assists during the 14 game streak.</p>
<p>1973:&nbsp; Danny Grant scored his 4th career hat trick and added an assist to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 5-2 win against the Boston Bruins, at the Met Center.</p>
<p>1976:&nbsp; Former NHL left winger Hnat Domenichelli born in Edmonton, Alta. &nbsp;Domenichelli played in the NHL 1996-97 through 2002-03 with Hartford, Calgary, Atlanta and the Minnesota Wild.</p>
<p>1977: &nbsp;Minnesota rookies Glen Sharpley and Roland Eriksson each scored their 20th goals of the season as the North Stars improved to 5-0-1 all-time at home against Washington with a 4-4 tie against the Capitals.</p>
<p>1979:&nbsp; Rookie Bobby Smith scored twice as the Minnesota North Stars tied 3-3 with Boston at the Met Center.</p>
<p>1983:&nbsp; Rookie Brian Bellows and Willi Plett each scored twice as the Minnesota North Stars won 6-3 over the visiting Quebec Nordiques.</p>
<p>1986:&nbsp; Kings&#8217; Bryan Erickson scored two goals, including the winner at 4:36 of overtime and added an assist when Los Angeles won 3-2, at Montreal.</p>
<p>1993:&nbsp; Ottawa&#8217;s Norm Maciver began a team-record 9 game point scoring streak and Mike Peluso became the first player in team history to pick up 250 penalty minutes in one season in the Senators&#8217; 6-4 loss to the Nordiques, at Quebec.</p>
<p>1996:&nbsp; Dallas Star obtained Darryl Sydor and a 5th round pick in the 1996 Entry Draft (Ryan Christie) from the Los Angeles Kings, in exchange for Shane Churla and Doug Zmolek.</p>
<p>1996:&nbsp; Ottawa&#8217;s Damian Rhodes made 41 saves in a 2-1 overtime loss to the visiting New York Rangers.</p>
<p>1998: The U.S. Women&#8217;s Olympic team captures the first ever Gold Medal in Women&#8217;s Hockey upon defeating Canada in the Olympic Winter Games.</p>
<p>2004:&nbsp; Marian Gaborik scored his 6th career hat trick as the Wild tied 4-4 with the Devils at New Jersey.</p>
<p>2008:&nbsp; Marian Gaborik scored twice, including the game-winning goal with just 4.4 seconds left in overtime and added an assist to lead the Wild to a 5-4 win over the visiting Predators.</p>
<p>2012: &nbsp;Robbinsdale, MN native Blake Wheeler scored once and picked up two assists as the Jets beat his former team, the visiting Boston Bruins 4-2.</p>
<p>2013:&nbsp; The inaugural &#8216;Hockey City Classic&#8217; was played outdoors on this date held&nbsp;in Chicago, Illinois at Soldier Field, home of the NFL&#8217;s Chicago Bears.&nbsp; The day featured a doubleheader with Notre Dame playing Miami of Ohio, and the Minnesota Golden Gophers playing the&nbsp;Wisconsin Badgers.&nbsp; The Gophers&nbsp;game vs. the Badgers&nbsp;marked the last regular season WCHA matchup for the two schools.</p>
<p>2013: &nbsp;Minnesota rookie Jason Zucker scored his first career goal and rookie goalie Darcy Kuemper made 29 saves as the Wild rallied for three goals in the second period to overcome a 2-0 deficit for a 3-2 win over the visiting Red Wings.</p>
<p>2014: &nbsp;Minnesota Wild signed free agent goalie John Curry.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>1929:&nbsp; Cecil &#8216;Tiny&#8217; Thompson, one year removed from playing with the Minneapolis Millers,&nbsp;records his&nbsp;9th shutout of his rookie season as the Boston Bruins win 3-0 over the Blackhawks in a game played at Fort Frances, Ontario.</p>
<p>1942:&nbsp; Former NHL goalie Ken Broderick born in Toronto, Ont.&nbsp; Broderick played in the NHL 1969-70 through 1974-75 with the Minnesota North Stars and Boston.</p>
<p>1972:&nbsp; Minnesota Governor Wendell Anderson, along with then President; Donald M. Clark and Secretary D. Kelly Campbell, turn the spades at the groundbreaking ceremony for the US Hockey Hall of Fame Museum in Eveleth, MN.</p>
<p>1974:&nbsp; Danny Grant scored twice and added an assist to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 4-2 win over the Blues at St. Louis.</p>
<p>1975:&nbsp; Blake Dunlop had three assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to an 8-4 win against the California Seals at the Met Center.&nbsp; The Seals scored three goals in a span of :43 during the game.</p>
<p>1978:&nbsp; Minnesota North Stars signed Bill Butters as a free agent.</p>
<p>1991:&nbsp; Minnesota goalie Jon Casey recorded his 7th career shutout as the North Stars won 3-0 at Detroit.</p>
<p>1994:&nbsp; Jon Casey was in goal as the Boston Bruins picked up a shutout in their first game against the Stars, a 3-0 victory in Dallas.&nbsp; It was Casey&#8217;s 15th career shutout.</p>
<p>1999:&nbsp; Vancouver Canucks acquired center Darby Hendrickson from the Toronto Maple Leafs for defenseman Chris McAllister.</p>
<p>2012:&nbsp; Devin Setoguchi had two goals and an assist for the Wild in a 4-3 shootout loss to the visiting Winnipeg Jets.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>1941:&nbsp; Frank Brimsek became the second goaltender to record 20 shutouts with Boston, as the Bruins extended their team-record undefeated streak to 21 straight games (14-0-7) with a 5-0 win over the Canadiens, at Montreal.</p>
<p>1942:&nbsp; Chicago goalie Sam LoPresti recorded his 4th (and final) career shutout and Bob Carse had a goal and an assist in the Black Hawks&#8217; 2-0 win against the visiting Boston Bruins.</p>
<p>1945:&nbsp; The&nbsp;1st MSHSL sanctioned MN State High School League Boys&nbsp;Hockey Tournament is born on this date at the St. Paul Auditorium.&nbsp; The inaugural&nbsp;tournament is played from Feb. 15-17th.</p>

<p>1969:&nbsp; Walt McKechnie scored twice and added two assists in the Minnesota North Stars&#8217; 6-2 win over the Red Wings at the Met Center.</p>
<p>1969:&nbsp; Detroit Red Wings traded Danny Lawson and rights to Brian Conacher to the North Stars, in exchange for Wayne Connelly.</p>

<p>1983:&nbsp; Reed Larson became the first defenseman in Detroit history to score two career hat tricks, when he scored three goals as the Red Wings beat the Penguins 7-3, at Pittsburgh.</p>

<p>1994:&nbsp; Cities Hockey Inc. (Ownership group of the Minnesota Arctic Blast)&nbsp;enters into a partnership with Minnesota Metro In-Line Hockey, the governing body of amateur roller hockey in Minnesota.</p>
<p>2004:&nbsp; Defenseman Paul Martin became the first New Jersey Devils rookie to get a regular season overtime goal, when he scored at 3:53 of OT and added an assist in a 3-2 win over the visiting Los Angeles Kings.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>1936:&nbsp; Former NHL center Charlie Burns born in Detroit, Mich. &nbsp;Burns played in the NHL 1958-59 through 1972-73 with Detroit, Boston, Oakland, Pittsburgh and Minnesota, and later coached the North Stars.</p>
<p>1946:&nbsp; The&nbsp;2nd annual MSHSL State Boys High School Hockey Tournament is held at the St. Paul Auditorium from Feb. 14-16th.</p>
<p>1969:&nbsp; Chicago Black Hawks obtained Andre Boudrias and Mike McMahon from the Minnesota North Stars, in exchange for Tom Reid and Bill Orban.</p>
<p>1970:&nbsp; Former NHL defenseman Sean Hill born in Duluth, Minnesota.&nbsp; Hill played in the NHL 1992-93 through 2007-08 with Montreal, Anaheim, Ottawa, Carolina, St. Louis, Florida Panthers, New York Islanders and the Minnesota Wild.</p>
<p>1971:&nbsp; J.P. Parise scored two goals and an assist to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 5-4 win over Pittsburgh at the Met Center.</p>

<p>1979:&nbsp; Minnesota North Stars set a franchise record for fastest three goals when Brad Maxwell, and J.P. Parise (twice) combined to score in a span of :68 in an 8-1 win over the visiting Vancouver Canucks.</p>
<p>1980:&nbsp; Paul Holmgren scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Flyers to a 5-1 win against the visiting Winnipeg Jets.</p>

<p>1986:&nbsp; Calgary&#8217;s Joel Otto became the first rookie in Flames history to get 150 penalty minutes, when he picked up six PIM in a 3-3 tie against the visiting Buffalo Sabres.</p>
<p>1995:&nbsp; Buffalo obtained Alexei Zhitnik, Robb Stauber, Charlie Huddy and a conditional draft pick in trade from the Los Angeles Kings, in exchange for Phillippe Boucher, Denis Tsygurov and Grant Fuhr.</p>
<p>2001:&nbsp; Mike Modano scored 1 goal and added 2 assists to become the franchise leader&nbsp;(Dallas Stars) over Neal Broten with 869 points.</p>
<p>2007:&nbsp; St. Louis rookie David Backes scored his first two-goal game in the NHL to lead the Blues to a 4-2 win over the Blue Jackets at Columbus.</p>
<p>2007:&nbsp; Marian Gaborik became the first player to score 300 points as a member of the Minnesota Wild; he reached the milestone with a goal and an assist in a 3-2 overtime loss vs Vancouver.</p>
<p>2008:&nbsp; Mikko Koivu scored the winning shootout goal, and Stephane Veilleux scored twice to lead the Wild to a 5-4 win against the Canucks at Vancouver.</p>
<p>2010:&nbsp; Minnesota&#8217;s Marek Zidlicky set a team record for defensemen with his 31st assist of the season, in a 6-2 win over the visiting Vancouver Canucks; he broke the mark of 30 assists that he had set one year earlier.</p>

<p>1977:&nbsp; Former NHL center Wyatt Smith born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.&nbsp; Smith played in the NHL 1999-00 through 2007-08 with Phoenix, Nashville, New York Islanders, the Minnesota Wild and Colorado.</p>
<p>1978:&nbsp; NHL goaltender Niklas Backstrom born in Helsinki, Finland. Backstrom has played in the NHL since 2006-07 with the Minnesota Wild.</p>
<p>1979:&nbsp; Former NHL left wing Todd Fedoruk born in Redwater, Alta. Fedoruk played in the NHL 2000-01 through 2009-10 with Philadelphia, Anaheim, Philadelphia, Dallas, the Minnesota Wild, Phoenix, and Tampa Bay.</p>
<p>1982:&nbsp; Dino Ciccarelli scored twice and added two assists to lead the North Stars to a 6-1 win against the Red Wings in Minnesota.</p>
<p>1989:&nbsp; Tom Kurvers set a Devils&#8217; franchise record for most assists in a game by a defenseman, when he picked up five in an 8-1 New Jersey win over Toronto.</p>
<p>1992:&nbsp; Ulf Dahlen had a goal and three assists in a 6-1 Minnesota North Stars&#8217; win over the Winnipeg Jets.</p>
<p>2004:&nbsp; Minnesota&#8217;s Dwayne Roloson recorded his 15th career shutout, and Marc Chouinard scored for the first time in more than three months as the Wild recorded their first ever shutout against Edmonton, a 3-0 win over the visiting Oilers.</p>
<p>2007:&nbsp; Defenseman David Tanabe had two assists as the Hurricanes handed the visiting Los Angeles Kings their 13th loss in 16 games, a 2-1 Carolina win.</p>
<p>2008:&nbsp; Chicago&#8217;s Dustin Byfuglien scored two consecutive goals in the first period, and the Blackhawks scord on three of their first four shots on their way to a 7-2 win against the Blue Jackets at Columbus.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>1941:&nbsp;&nbsp;Frank Brimsek recorded his 19th career shutout as the Bruins became the 3rd team in league history to win 400 NHL games when they beat the visiting Red Wings 4-0. With the win the Boston tied an NHL record by extending their unbeaten streak to 12-0-7.</p>
<p>1955:&nbsp;&nbsp;Former NHL goalie Paul Harrison born in Timmons, Ont. Harrison played in the NHL 1975-76 through 1981-82 with the Minnesota North Stars, Toronto, Pittsburgh and Buffalo.</p>
<p>1964:&nbsp;&nbsp;Former NHL defenseman Ville Siren born in Tampere, Finland. &nbsp;Siren played in the NHL 1985-86 through 1989-90 with Pittsburgh and the Minnesota North Stars.</p>
<p>1973:&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Jude Drouin scored a goal and two assists and Ted Harris added three assists to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 6-3 win over Vancouver at the Met Center.</p>
<p>1993:&nbsp;&nbsp;Goaltender Darcy Wakaluk recorded his second career shutout to lead the Minnesota North Stars to a 1-0 win over the Lightning at Tampa Bay.</p>
<p>1997:&nbsp;&nbsp;New Jersey Devils obtained Peter Zezel from St. Louis, in exchange for Chris McAlpine and New Jersey&#8217;s 9th round pick in the 1999 Entry Draft.</p>
<p>2001:&nbsp;&nbsp;Minnesota Wild faced Pittsburgh for the first time in franchise history and came away with a 4-2 win over the visiting Penguins. Stacy Roest scored in the second period and was named the #1 Star of the Game.</p>
<p>2002:&nbsp;&nbsp;Colorado Avalanche acquired veteran forward Mike Keane from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for forward Shjon Podein.</p>
<p>2006:&nbsp;&nbsp;Jason Blake scored a goal to give him 200 career NHL points as the Islanders beat the Devils 2-1 in New Jersey.</p>
<p>2009:&nbsp;&nbsp;Zach Parise scored twice and added two assists to lead the Devils to a 4-2 win over the visiting New York Islanders.</p>
<p>2009:&nbsp;&nbsp;Antti Miettinen scored with 1:11 remaining in regulation to give the Wild a 2-1 win over the visiting Colorado Avalanche.</p>
<p>2011:&nbsp;&nbsp;Cal Clutterbuck scored twice and 37-year-old John Madden scored in the 9th round of the shootout (his first shootout attempt of the season) to give the Wild a 5-4 victory in St. Louis.</p>
