No. 3 Wisconsin swept Minnesota State in WCHA women’s action with a pair of shutout wins at the Verizon Wireless Center, but the intriguing aspect of the series was found on the benches. Minnesota State coach John Harrington and Wisconsin coach Mark Johnson, teammates on Herb Brooks’ gold-medal-winning 1980 “Miracle on Ice” team, went head-to head in a first-of -its-kind matchup.
