STILLWATER, Minn., March 12, 2018 – In an historical event, the Stillwater Area Hockey Association (SAHA), is sending nine boys and girls youth hockey teams to the Minnesota Hockey State Tournament on March 16-18, 2018. SAHA had an incredibly strong 2017-2018 season sending 15 teams to the Minnesota Hockey Regional Tournament, and advancing nine teams to the Minnesota Hockey State Tournament.
“This is a fantastic accomplishment for our youth hockey program. We are sending a record amount of teams to the State Tournament,” said Bill Kohn, SAHA’s Boys Traveling Program Director. “We couldn’t be more thrilled for our community and to see the success of our program continue to grow.”
Eric St. Martin, SAHA’s Director of Girls’ Hockey, said, “I’m very proud that three of our girls teams qualified for the State Tournament. It shows the wonderful depth and talent of our program at every age level.”
The Minnesota Hockey State Tournament will take place in host cities across the state on March 16-18, 2018. Stillwater’s nine teams will be playing for the State title in the following locations:
