Minnesota Schools Featured Six Times on Inaugural NCHC CBS Sports Network Schedule

The National Collegiate Hockey Conference announced today that its inaugural season in 2013-14 will feature a package of 18 games televised nationally on CBS Sports Network. 15 regular season games and the NCHC Conference Semifinals and Championship matchups are included in the package.

Minnesota’s NCHC schools will be featured six times with the spotlight shining on St. Cloud State four times and Minnesota-Duluth twice, including an opening night clash at Colorado College on Friday, Oct. 18 as the nightcap of a double-header led by North Dakota’s visit to Miami.

“We are excited about our partnership with CBS Sports Network,” newly-appointed NCHC Commissioner, Josh Fenton, said in a joint statement released by the league and the network. “The NCHC is committed to showcasing our conference nationally and the relationship with CBS Sports Network helps us accomplish this goal.”

“We are proud to be the NCHC’s national television partner and are looking forward to an exciting inaugural season, showcasing some of the best college hockey in the country,” added Dan Weinberg, Senior Vice President, Programming, CBS Sports Network.
