High tech firm offers low-cost hockey stick repair and keeps them out of landfills.

(Article by Randy Langille of Integral Hockey Group, Inc.)

We are very excited and proud to offer the most technologically advanced and also the only hollow composite hockey stick repair on the market. After testing repair techniques and materials for many years, Randy Langille, founder of Integral Hockey, applied advanced laminating processes he learned from building aircraft components back in the early days of his manufacturing career.

Integral Hockey stick repairs carry an industry first lifetime warranty!

The result is a repair process that adds only 10-26 grams of weight to the stick. The feedback is extremely positive with respect to weight, flex, kickpoint and balance. Sticks repaired by Integral Hockey’s proprietary process and standards, translates to minimal compromise on the integrity of stick dynamics and function.

We believe that our commitment in this industry is something that any other company would have difficulty matching. We bring 27 years of high-tech composites to this business. With our carbon fibre/e-glass, vacuum infused process, we achieve something that few can or will, namely, ultimate strength to weight ratios. We have taken a very real problem, solved it with the most high-tech solution on the market, and we’re delivering it at a price that will work for everyone. Something we are very proud of. In early 2015, Integral Hockey announced that they are now backing up their repair system with an industry first “Lifetime Warranty” on the repair.

Now with 83 independently owned North American locations, Integral Hockey has set a new standard in this otherwise wasteful market. Broken hockey sticks have no other use or value, and Integral Hockey is literally taking waste from facilities everywhere, and turning that waste into something of value. This value is significant to parents, players and teams when they are reviewing their stick costs.

“If we can help just a little, in reducing the cost of hockey, then generically, we should see hockey registration numbers increase. And that is a universal mission throughout North America” stated Langille.

Beyond all of this, most people are unaware that there is no scientific data that shows a carbon fibre hockey stick will EVER break down in a landfill environment. There are more than 2 million composite sticks produced annually for the North American market, and the majority of those are destined to break, with their final destination being…you guessed it, the landfill.

Consider that an NHL club can go through 800 sticks per season. We have recently started working with a few NHL clubs to retrieve these sticks, repair them and help raise money for the teams’ favourite charity. We are seeing a huge opportunity to not only recycle a massive amount of sticks, but also help raise a lot of money for some very deserving charities.

In the “State Of Hockey”, we now have 7 locations to serve you. And we are seeing more and more interest from people that want to get involved. For anyone interested in having a stick repaired, you can call or visit one of our MN. Locations:
