1962: Former NHL defenseman Gord Dineen born in Quebec City, Quebec. Dineen played in the NHL 1982-83 through 1994-95 with the New York Islanders, the Minnesota North Stars, Pittsburgh and Ottawa.
1969: Former NHL defenseman Curtis Leschyshyn born in Thompson, Man. Leschyshyn played in the NHL 1988-89 through 2003-04 with Quebec, the Colorado Avalanche, Washington, Hartford, Carolina, the Minnesota Wild and Ottawa.
